Bintumani hotel has been built in the late 70’s on the occasion of the Organization of African Unity which took place in Freetown. It temporally closed its doors at the beginning of the conflicts in 1995. It was in 1999 that the Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) – the Chinese construction company that built the main stadium of the 24th Olympic Games and that has the honour to be the "225th Largest International Contractors of the World" - invested 10 million USD to refurbish the hotel. In 2003 the brand new Bintumani Hotel reopened to become the largest hotel of the country offering five star services and ideally fulfilling the accommodation needs of both business and leisure guests,
The hotel is situated at the top of a hill over looking the stunning white sands of Lumley Beach in Freetown. The surroundings evoke serenity and beauty which makes Bintumani a true hidden gem in bustling Freetown. The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the Helipad and the hovercraft terminal which allows convenient access to Lungi international airport. With its 185 elegantly furnished rooms, BIntumani offers a wide rage of accommodation: from standard rooms to apartment and suites.
